Use these top affiliate networks and directories to find profitable affiliate programs

Affiliate networks are the middleman between the merchant and the affiliate marketer.

Selecting quality affiliate products that are benefiting your audience is very important to become successful with affiliate marketing.

You can find over 1 million affiliate products through affiliate networks and directories.

You can also find affiliate products directly from the merchant's websites. I'm focusing here on affiliate networks and directories to help you find quality affiliate products.

Affiliate networks provide many benefits.

• Affiliate program networks connect many advertisers and publishers together.
• Merchants join affiliate networks because they handle affiliate tracking and payments.
• Affiliate networks offer affiliates a wide variety of affiliate programs and products to promote.
• Affiliates can access all the affiliate products in a network by creating one account and one login.
• Affiliates are guaranteed payment because the network pays – not the merchant.
• Affiliate networks provide great tracking for affiliates.

TIP:  Your site must meet their requirements to be accepted for their program.  So, before applying to become an affiliate, make sure your website looks professional and provides quality content. Affiliate networks typically require you to have a website and will check your website or blog before approving you as an affiliate. When you are approved by a network, you can log in, search for products you want to promote, and get your affiliate links. Links can be in text format or can be image ads. You will still need approval from some of the merchants in the network to join their affiliate program.

Not all affiliate networks are the same. Below are some of the top affiliate networks where you can find a huge selection of affiliate products you can promote. And they are FREE to join them.

Use the following criteria when selecting affiliate programs:

• Choose products that will benefit your niche.
• Promote only quality products.
• Choose products you understand and are familiar with so you can write about them and better recommend them.
• Choose affiliate programs that provide good statistics (affiliate directories provide statistics).
• Choose programs that have a high-converting sales page.
• Choose programs with a long cookie duration.

The TOP 10 Affiliate Networks

Affiliates can choose from many affiliate networks to work with and can join many affiliate networks.  The affiliate sites listed below are all established, quality affiliate networks that provide a wide variety of affiliate products and niches. If you're serious about affiliate marketing, you should check them out!

1. Clickbank

Clickbank is the best-known and oldest affiliate network. Many affiliates started out in affiliate marketing by promoting Clickbank products. Clickbank was the first affiliate network I used to find affiliate products when I started out in affiliate marketing.

Clickbank is completely FREE for affiliates and available to everyone. It's super easy to join and start promoting affiliate products from their marketplace because you don't need the approval to become a Clickbank affiliate. You just create a free account and you can start promoting any product in their marketplace.

Clickbank is best known for digital products such as ebooks and software (typically paying 40% to 75%). Software affiliate programs pay some of the highest commissions.

It's free to join Clickbank as an affiliate but they take a small fee from sales that is split between the advertiser and the affiliate.

TIP: The quality of the products you find on Clickbank varies – especially for ebooks.  So make sure to select the programs you promote carefully.

2. Amazon Associates

The Amazon affiliate program is also known as Amazon Associates.

• You need to have a website to be approved for Amazon's affiliate program if you're in the US.
• Affiliates can add affiliate links on their website to any item on Amazon's site. This gives you with a huge selection of products you can promote as an affiliate.
• You get commissions for anything the customer buys through your affiliate link. When someone clicks on your affiliate link and buys something else, you will get a commission for all orders placed within 24 hours. This is how your commission significantly increases without making any extra effort.
  
• The conversion rate is typically higher than that of other affiliate programs because people know and trust Amazon.
• Affiliate commissions are relatively low but some products pay up to 10%. Even though the commissions are low, you can make good money with Amazon because 1. people trust Amazon; 2 conversions are high; .3. you'll get paid even if customers buy something other items through your link.; 4. many buyers buy more than one product.
• Amazon affiliates can do very well when promoting high-priced items.
• Amazon allows you to add your Amazon affiliate links to your Pinterest pins.

3. Ebay Partner Network

eBay has its own in-house affiliate program, called the eBay Partner Network. And their affiliate program is well worth checking out. Everyone knows Ebay, and by joining eBay Partner Network, you'll partner with eBay, one of the world's largest online brands.

eBay has a wide range of inventory, global brand recognition, and high conversion rates. When you drive traffic to an eBay site and it converts into a purchase, you'll earn a percentage of eBay's revenue. The amount is based on a set of category-level commission rates, ranging from 40% to 80%.

You can earn even more with a 200% bonus by driving new and reactivated eBay buyers to purchase.

4. CJ Affiliate by Conversant (Previously Commission Junction).

This is one of the largest and most established affiliate networks that have some very well-known advertisers (including Expedia and Disney). They have pay-per-lead, pay-per-sale, pay-per-click, and pay-per-call programs, offering you many opportunities to make money.

5. Rakuten Marketing/Ebates

Rakuten is one of the top 3 e-commerce companies worldwide. Rakuten (formerly known as Ebates) offers cash back at over 2,000 stores whenever you begin your shopping through the Rakuten website. And affiliates receive $25 for every referral through their link.

Rakuten also owns many other sites and services, including Ebates, Viber, Kobo, Overdrive, Rakuten Marketing, and has invested in Pinterest and Lyft.

6. Shareasale.com

Sharesale is a large, established affiliate marketing network with a huge variety of offers and a great reputation. ShareASale offers pay-per-sale, pay-per-lead, and pay-per-click affiliate programs.

ShareASale is a great place for affiliate newbies. Instead of having to wait months to meet minimum payoffs for different companies, Share-A-Sale combines referral income from multiple companies and they have a low payout requirement so you can get paid faster.

Avangate specializes in software and digital products. This is a great site for affiliates who want to sell software and digital products online. Avangate is a global e-commerce and subscription billing platform.

8. FlexOffers

This established network has a large number of affiliate products from 10,000+ advertisers.  Some provide high-paying commissions. FlexOffers provides a great tracking system. Affiliates and vendors have a team of experienced affiliate managers available that will work with them.

9. JVZoo

JVZoo is very popular with affiliates who promote internet marketing products.  Affiliates have instant access to all of JVZoo's affiliate tools and training.  Sign up to start earning instantly paid commissions today.
